UNI ISO 27729
UNI ISO 27729:2013, International standard Identifier for names (ISNI) was puiblished.
The norm is the national adoption of international standard ISO 27729 (Edition March 2012) and takes into account the corrigendum of September 2013 (Corr. 1:2013). The norm describes the ISNI, international standard identifier for names for the identification of public identities of parties, ie those identities used publicly by participants through the media system in the creation, production chains, management and distribution of content.
The ISNI system uniquely identifies public identities in all possible fields of creative activity and provides a tool to disambiguate similar public identities that might otherwise be confused with each other.
The ISNI does not aim to directly provide comprehensive access to information of public identity, but can provide links to other systems where this information is contained .
The norm is the Italian national adoption of international standard ISO 27729:2012.
